MUSIC STUDIES

ENSEMBLE STUDIES
All Ensembles are $7.00 per week and invoiced by the Term.


FLUTE ENSEMBLE
Tuesday 6.00 - 6.45pm
Open to flautists in school years 6, 7 and 8. For 2010, students enrolled in Single Studies can join the Flute Ensemble for only $4 per week. The Flute Ensemble is especially suited to students leaving the Primary School Band Program or are having private lessons and would like to play the flute in a small goup.


GUITAR ENSEMBLE
Wednesday 3.30 - 4.15pm
The Guitar Ensemble is a mixed group of guitarists (both acoustic and electric) who have been learning for at least 12 months. Students enrolled in single studies Guitar lessons the fee is reduced to $4 per week.


CONCERT BAND
Wednesday 4.30 - 5.30pm


JUNIOR STRING ENSEMBLE
Wednesday 5.15 - 6.00pm


THE CON ROCK SCHOOL
Wednesday 7.00 - 8.00pm
The Con Rock School is for students in Year 7 or above (including Adults) and have been playing their instrument for a minimum of 1 year. Musicians must play one of the standard rock instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, vocals) or Alto (Eb) saxophone or harmonica. The objectives of the Con Rock School are to learn to play together, to learn stage presence, both actions and dress and to form a group or several groups that may represent the Con in Battle of the Bands or other talent quests.


BIG BAND
Thursday 5.00 - 6.00pm
The Big Band is available for ages 14 and upwards. For 2010, students enrolled in Concert Band can join Big Brand free. The Big Band caters for those who play sax, bass guitar, piano and drums. The Big Band play music of jazz, swing, latin and other popular styles.


CLARINET CHOIR
Friday 4.00 - 4.45pm
Open to clarinettists in school years 6, 7 and 8. For 2009, students enrolled in Single Studies can join the Clarinet Choir for only $4 per week. The Clarinet Choir is especially suited to students leaving the Primary School Band Program or are having private lessons and would like to play the clarinet in a small group.
